Saya and Roberto are one of New England’s West Coast Swing power couples. They both compete at the All-Star level and constantly place in the Jack & Jills as individual dancers or in Strictly Swing when they dance together. Saya is an exciting follower to watch and embodies the ability to simultaneously follow and create musical moments. Roberto is the calm frame to Saya's fiery musicality, providing high-level, clean leads to showcase his follower. Independently, they are expert dancers—able to make anyone they dance with look better. Together, they are a nationally recognized All-Star couple who can bring out the excitement in any song they are given.
This set of workshops is designed to lift your level and make your dancing look more dramatic, appealing, and flashy, while still maintaining technical excellence. Get ready to be inspired by one of our top West Coast Swing couples.
Important Information
We strive to balance providing a safe environment while returning to a normal social setting. The following policy is subject to change at any time in the event of new guidance issued by the CDC, state, or local governments. By attending any of our classes/privates/events, you agree to this health policy. Effective January 1, 2024:

Common Sense Health: 1) If you are not feeling well, please do not come to dance class. 2) If you've been in a high-density environment (plane, wedding, conference), it would be appreciated if you took a home-COVID test before your class.

Health Cooperation: Students will cooperate with any health requests from Erik Novoa, guest instructor, or staff (e.g., using hand sanitizer, using a mask, stepping outside to address a health issue, etc.).

Registration: You must pre-register for these classes (see below). We will not be touching credit cards or cash for these classes.
Schedule:
Private Lessons (55 min) with Saya, Roberto, or both
Please register for your private below. Your registration only covers the floor fee ($25). Once registered, arrangements will be made to pay Saya/Roberto for the private lesson directly ($85 with Saya or Roberto, $150 with both of them).

Please arrive on time and wash your hands. Some food and drinks will be provided.
4:00pm - Workshop 1: Body Flight and Driving Power Side
Proper weight transfers and choosing side (right vs. left) in every steps of basics.
5:00pm - Workshop 2: Mirroring Body Movement
We will be teaching how and where to pay attention to lead and follow VISUALLY, without having to only "rely" on physical connections.
6:00pm - Dinner Break (60 min)
Food and beverages will be provided. Feel free to bring any contribution to our dinner table.
7:00pm - Workshop 3: Decorating 2 Beats
We will be teaching styling options for lead and follow in 2 beat increments which can be applied on various places.
8:00-11:00pm - West Coast Swing Dance Party
Dance for fun or try what you learned. This is your moment to shine! Let's have a great time dancing together!!

Your Instructors: Saya Suzaki and Roberto Corporan
Sayaka Suzaki - "Saya" began dancing at age 4 - in many dance forms starting from ballet, modern jazz, and musical theater. She found her love for hip hop when she was 11 and then Ballroom (American smooth/rhythm) later on. She discovered West Coast Swing in 2013. Born in Tokyo, moved to Munich at age 11, and to the U.S. at age 19. She fell in love with WCS because of the uniqueness of being able to combine partner dancing and solo dancing. Her favorite thing to say about WCS is, "When you dance WCS, be present, focus on yourself, the partnership, and the music because it cannot be recreated again".
Roberto Corporan - Roberto began dancing at age 8 and has been dancing many dance forms such as hip hop, line dancing, and ballroom. He fell in love with West Coast Swing almost 15 years ago. He is highly regarded for his smoothness, musicality, and isolations. He loves being able to create with his partners and incorporate his solo dancing background.

Dance Dimensions is located on Route-1 (Cross Street) in the same shopping area as these other establishments: Brain Balance, Dogs Gone Smart, and Goodwill.
Parking Area
There is plenty of parking adjacent to Dance Dimensions. The parking area is well lit and marked. Please park closer to the entrance because that will place you closer to the studio entrance.
