Hustle is the partner dance that originated in the 1970s in NYC and metropolitan cities of the United States. It is designed to be dynamic and flashy. Its core steps are not too complicated but its requirement for motion and agility make this a perfect dance for club music and parties.

This day is for beginners who want to learn Hustle and intermediate dancers who want to have a good challenge. The first two workshops will be perfect for beginners. In these workshops, Hustle will be taught from the beginning and developed as much as the dancers can learn. The last workshop will be for intermediate Hustle dancers and will challenge them with technical combinations. 

* No partner required.

Schedule

2:00pm - Hustle (Beg I)

Learn Hustle from the very beginning. This workshop will start with the basic steps and rhythm of the dance. There will be a 15-minute break between classes to rest or practice. 

3:15pm - Hustle (Beg II)

This workshop will continue where Beg I left off. By the end of this workshop, students will be able to dance the basic patterns of Hustle and will start to be able to social dance. There will be a 15-minute break between classes to rest or practice. 

4:30pm - Hustle (Int)

 This workshop is for intermediate dancers who are already able to sustain a social dance. This class will utilize wraps, shadows, and turn patterns to develop better technique and expand vocabulary. There will be a 30-minute social dance after the lesson. 

Pricing

Pricing is for each workshop. Beginners should take the first two classes to maximize their experience. Intermediate dancers can take all classes. 

$15/workshop: Before Monday, September 16
$18/workshop: Before Sunday, September 22
$20/workshop: On September 22

Important Location information:

Dance Dimensions is located on Route-1 (Cross Street) in the same shopping area as these other establishments: Brain Balance, Dogs Gone Smart, and Goodwill.

Parking Area

There is plenty of parking adjacent to Dance Dimensions. The parking area is well lit and marked. Please park closer to the entrance because that will place you closer to the studio entrance.
