Registration: You must pre-register for these classes (see below). We do not have the staff to process credit cards or cash on-site for these classes.
Schedule
4:00pm - The Early Years 2006-2009
During this section, we'll explore how we learned West Coast Swing during my first years in Connecticut—when we were at Al's Place, Black Bear Saloon, and Rhythm.
We'll play a fun game at the end of this workshop. Winner gets a prize; miss an answer, and you'll have to dance!
5:00pm - The Middle Ages 2009-2013
In this workshop, we'll explore how we learned West Coast Swing while we developed a community at Dance Dimensions when it was at its first location (at Quincy Street).
We'll play another fun game at the end of this workshop. How well do you know Erik? Winner gets a prize!
6:00pm - Dinner
7:00pm - The Common Era 2013-2026
In this segment, we'll explore how West Coast Swing has changed in the last 20 years while we've been located at Dance Dimensions at its current location at 15 Cross Street.
At the end of this workshop, we'll have a Wheel of Dance giveaway.
8:00-11:00pm - 20th-Anniversary Dance Party
Let's all dance together for this intergenerational celebration! Each of you has helped to create this dance community, and this dance is a tribute to you, too. Music from each segment of time will be played so that you feel connected to the music that you fell in love with when you learned how to dance. Be ready to see some pictures on our main screen from our 20 years of fun.

Your Instructors
Erik Novoa
Erik Novoa is nationally top-ranked West Coast Swing and Hustle dancer, who made it through 3 rounds of auditions to appear on the televised revival of Dance Fever in 2003. He has also appeared on the "Today Show" where he took First Place in a televised hustle contest. Erik has been competing in West Coast Swing since 1998. In that time, he has risen to compete in the All-Star and Invitational division. He has placed top-10 three times at the US Open Swing Dance Championships in the Classic Division and has excelled in Strictly Swing and Jack & Jill competitions at numerous national events. His 20-year background in ballet, jazz, modern, musical theater and tap is evident in his avant-garde routines, creative social dances, and expert teaching style.

Dance Dimensions is located on Route-1 (Cross Street) in the same shopping area as these other establishments: Brain Balance, Dogs Gone Smart, and Goodwill.
Parking Area
There is plenty of parking adjacent to Dance Dimensions. The parking area is well lit and marked. Please park closer to the entrance because that will place you closer to the studio entrance.
