Hustle 2-Week Crash Course
in Norwalk, CT

Two Mondays in October 2023 (Oct. 9 & 23)

We are currently only accepting registrations for leaders or couples (in order to provide a more balanced experience). Followers should email me to be put on the wait list.

Hustle is the partner dance that originated in the 1970s in NYC and the metropolitan cities of the United States. It is designed to be dynamic and flashy. Its core steps are not too complicated, and its requirement for motion and agility make this a perfect dance for club music and parties. This two-week series will contain two parts each week—taking students from their first steps through the ability to sustain a social dance. Hustle is an essential part of your social dance repertoire.

7:30-9:45pm: Hustle Crash Course (Week 1 of 2)

Your Hustle journey begins with this class. The goal of this class is to get you ready to dance Hustle as quickly as possible. This class will be especially helpful for dancers who are attending Swustlicious in October. We will explore the basic timing of the dance and the core foundational patterns like the crossbody, the wheel, the underarm turn, the under the bridge, and the wrap turn. This class will progress quickly in order to best prepare you for real-world social dancing. There will be a break during this class.

9:45pm - 10:30pm: Social Dancing

Enjoy some time dancing and socializing! This is where the magic happens. The more you dance, the better your dance will become.
