Liberty Swing 2014 Review and Placements

Liberty Swing 2014 Opening ShowLiberty Swing 2014 was an awesome competitive and social event for the New York City area. This event is the major West Coast Swing occasion of the year for the metropolitan area. It stars a Champion level teaching staff and extended top-level pros from all over the United States.

This year's 10th anniversary celebration began with a fun show (choreographed by Benji and Jessica), featuring all the Champions appearing in 70's garb and dancing to the music of ABBA. The show was capped off by John Lindo, the event director, appearing in his larger than life Elvis costume and big "70s" hair.

There were many incredible routines from Showcase to Classic. Special mention to Robert Royston who injured his abductor during his Showcase routine. He recovered by the following day to return as MC for the event, first in a wheel-chair, then by crutch.
