Spins & Turns
Learning spin
or turn definitely increases your level instantly. Women
who can turn are generally the most sought after followers and
men who can turn are usually the guys who get all the
attention...the good type.
This class will give basic exercises and explanations to show
you how to turn. We will break down turns on one foot as
well as traveling turns. This is an essential class for
anyone interested in WCSwing or Hustle.

It's time raise
the roof! I'm going to be training some of our core staff
to help teach. This is going to lead to FREE beginner
days, where student instructors can guide some newcomers in a
welcoming way. I'm excited to see how they share
their love for dance with others.

Smiths Dancing
School has moved to a bigger studio in Hawthorne, NY. I
have had a great relationship with them in 2008...so I have
decided to go crazy. Every other Thursday, I will be
hosting "Starter Kit" Hustle/WCSwing nights. It's the
perfect way to get started on a journey that can last a
lifetime.

Club Ballroom
could possibly have one of the best dance floors in the state of
Connecticut. I'm looking forward to bringing Hustle and
WCSwing to that location once a month.
Dance Events
Time to travel.
Going to my first dance event changed my life. It was
literally like finding "Paradise Lost". Hundreds of people
dancing and all of them very friendly...that was over 10 years
ago, when I went alone to Atlanta, GA for my first event.
I'd like to get a group of people together to have a good time
and dance their booties off for a weekend...at an event.
Technique
The devil (I
mean beauty) is in the details. What separates the average
dancer from the impressive dancer? It's either their musicality
or their technique. The technique workshops will be used
to supplement the weekly classes by filling in the details.
Good technique make your dance more efficient, easier, and sets
you up to try even more challenging movements.
Musicality
The secret to
the Universe probably lies within music. It is impossible
to consider yourself a respectable dancer if you don't have a
basic knowledge of music. The Musicality for WCS classes
will guide you through the amazing journey of basic
understanding of music and how it makes WCSwing the one of the
most amazing dances.

Surprise
- We have a lot of changes this week. Please check the schedule
below and let other dancers know to minimize confusion. Your
cooperation is extremely appreciated.
Our
new location for our weekly dances, Dance Dimensions, is a fun studio,
with a large, professional, sprung, wood floor. It will offer the
best environment for our dances to continue in an autonomous fashion
without the conflicts-of-interests that we have encountered. I
will be glad to explain more about our move in a personal manner at our
classes. Most
important: we are allowed to bring our own food and beverages.
I will be bringing some snacks and refreshments - feel free to bring
something for yourself or to share our debut week.

Rhythm in Norwalk....especially with a
dance as fierce as Hustle!

house band, The Bad Catz were a special
treat for our dancers.
