We're back from Swingin'
New England! I placed 5th in the All-Star Jack & Jill (4th Loser). It was a great 3 days of dancing....so, how many
dances will you dance this week?
We've got lots of
stuff going on this week, 3 Dances: Hustle, WCSwing & Night Club 2-Step.
Newcomers are still
welcome to all the classes.
We had over 30 people
in each night last week - so let's keep our community growing - The more
people, the more fun.

look like regular street shoes, while other look like ballroom shoes.
The pair that I wear most frequently are Dance Sneakers by Sansha.
These are perfect for jeans but look horrible if worn with shorts
or skirts.

Pre-Register and Save Money: |
 Many
events offer discounts if you pre-register/pay.
Fact: Paying at the door can cost 20-50%
more than the "early-bird" rates.
Fact: Many smaller events may even
cancel their functions if minimum pre-registration amounts can not
be achieved.
Fact: The stress level of event director,
promoter, guest instructor, hosting facility is inversely proportional
to the amount of pre-registered attendees.
Bottom line: Pre-Register
and Save Money

Protect Yourself Against Fraud: |
|
 Many
people are worried about paying online for dance stuff (events,
pre-registration, tickets, shoes, etc).
Even safe sites, such as
PayPal, scare people but it's 2008 and it's difficult to avoid paying
for things online. Plus many discounts are offered if you
pre-register early via online payments.
Erik's Advice:
Get a new credit card with
a low limit (like $100). That way you can make online purchases
with minimal worry about someone charging your life away.
It's an easy way to protect
yourself against credit card fraud and limits your exposure....best
part, you can adjust the limit to your comfort level.
